Mafia Club Chiang Mai

Mafia is a simple game that most people will have played before - basically there will be several Mafiosi among a group of citizens, trying to kill the entire population including an undercover Sheriff. At night time (players close their eyes), the Mafia team will decide to kill a player and the Sheriff will have the opportunity to investigate one player's role. In the morning, all players discuss who the likely killers are, shift blame all around the table and eventually decide to hang the most suspicious person. If the Mafia team manages to kill all citizens, they win. If all Mafiosi are hanged or shot, citizens win.
Normally, this game turns into a shouting match between the most vocal and outgoing players, while innocent-looking Mafia players sit silently and let citizens kill each other...but not at our Mafia Club in Chiang Mai! Here, the game is played to very strict rules, with every player having to speak for one minute and with penalties for interrupting other players' speeches. The game requires a lot of attention and focus to follow all players' speeches and to catch the players delivering inconsistent or contradictory speeches.
